500 Gallon Propane Leak Near Train Tracks

AMTRAK service between Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del. was delayed early Wednesday

A 500 gallon propane leak delayed regional service on AMTRAK early Wednesday between Philadelphia and Wilmington, Del.

SEPTA's Wilmington/ Newark line between Claymont and Newark Stations was also delayed at the same time since they share the tracks with AMTRAK.

Wilmington fire officials say the situation is under control. Crews are still working to clean up the AMTRAK yard on the 4000 block of Vandever Avenue, as of 2 p.m.

The cause of the leak is still being investigated, according to Capt. Danner, Wilmington Fire Department.
