    Philadelphia-area supporters are being invited to a fundraising reception with Pres. Barack Obama on June 12.

    The Obama Victory Fund 2012 event is scheduled Tuesday evening at The Franklin Institute, with the president expected to speak just before 8 p.m.

    Obama for America organizers are offering tickets to donors willing to pay from $250 for admission and up to $10,000 for premium tickets and a VIP photo reception.

    6-year-old Gianna Martin wanted badly to see First Lady Michelle Obama during her visit to Philadelphia Wednesday. But in order to go, she would miss her final exam in school. So she asked the First Lady for help.

    First Lady Michelle Obama greeted hundreds of Philadelphia supporters and campaign volunteers at the National Constitution Center on Wednesday.

    The Obama campaign reported Thursday that the president and the Democrats raised over $60 million in May.

    But May also marked the first time former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and the Republicans jumped ahead of the president.  Romney and the GOP raised more than $76 million last month.

    In late May Romney won enough convention delegates to win the Republican presidential nomination, according to The Associated Press count.
