Winning Lottery Ticket Out There

Someone spending their holiday weekend at the beach could be a multi-millionaire.

The Delaware Lottery says one of three winning Powerball tickets for a $50 million jackpot was sold at the Super G supermarket on Lighthouse Plaza Boulevard in Rehoboth Beach.

As of Tuesday, no one had come forward to claim a share of the jackpot in Saturday's drawing, according to a press release from the Delaware Lottery.

“For one lucky winner in Delaware, Memorial Day weekend will now be remembered as the start of their life as a millionaire,” Delaware Lottery Director Vernon Kirk said in the release.  “And for our Retailer Super G, they are winners today for helping to make that happen and we are pleased to be adding them to our growing list of lucky Retailers.”

The lump sum value of the jackpot is one-third of $31.1 million (a little more than $10.3 million).

Two other winning tickets matched the six numbers: 2-6-19-21-27 and Powerball of 25. One was sold in Florida and another in Louisiana. None of the winners have come forward yet.

Before this drawing, Delaware has had eight Powerball jackpot winners since 1992 including a $50 million jackpot last October.
