Power Outage Shuts Out Students at N.J. College

The lights go out for an entire college forcing students and professors to close the books for the day.

Richard Stockton College in Pomona, N.J. had to close at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon because of a major power outage.

All afternoon and evening classes have been canceled, according to the school Web site.

The power reportedly went out earlier in the day.

There are power outages throughout Atlantic County as more than 2,000 Atlantic City Electric customers were without power as of 2 p.m. Click here to see the entire outage map.
