Power has been restored on the Rutgers University Cook and Douglass campuses.
Classes are resuming Thursday after a series of power outages on Wednesday canceled some classes and closed some buildings on its main campus in New Brunswick.
The outages on the Cook/Douglass campuses affected about 90 buildings, including 39 residence halls. Rutgers spokesman E.J. Miranda says about 300 students slept on cots in a gym, while others stayed with friends or went back home with their families for the night. [[393493441, C]]
Rutgers say there was a problem with a transformer.
All other Rutgers' campuses were open and operated on normal schedules.
