Woman Abducted at Penn's Landing: Police

Woman seen being thrown into a car with a bag over her head, police say

UPDATE: Police say this was all just a bachelor party stunt.

Philadelphia Police are investigating the possible abduction of a woman from a Penn's Landing restaurant.

The manager of the Chart House at 595 S. Columbus Blvd. in Center City called authorities after he saw several men grab a woman and throw her into a van in the restaurant's parking lot, police say.

The white woman was sitting in the passenger seat of a silver Honda with another female when a van with four white men inside pulled up, the manager told police.

One man jumped out, pulled the woman from the Honda, threw a black bag over her head and then sped off Northbound on Columbus Blvd., police say. All four men were wearing stockings over their faces.

The silver Honda then drove off in another direction, police say.

Surveillance video captured the van pulling away from the restaurant. Authorities believe the white late-90s model Dodge conversion van has a license plate of EVV-4728.

They are asking anyone with information to call police.
