An out-of-control car smashed into a utility pole leaving the driver dead.
The one-vehicle wreck happened along Delaware Avenue at Lewis Street in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Philadelphia police said the male driver died at the scene after his car slammed into a utility pole.
It wasn’t clear what caused the crash. Police remained on the scene for hours investigating.
