Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets are voluntarily recalling ready-to-eat bags of Indiana white cheddar popcorn which may be contaminated with listeria.

The 9 oz. bags are from Dale & Thomas with the UPC code 84357 10078.  If you bought the product, you should toss any uneaten portions and bring your receipt to the store for a full refund.

No one has gotten sick from eating tainted popcorn. But symptoms of listeriosis include high fever, headaches, neck stiffness and nausea. It can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in those with weakened immune systems, like infants and the elderly.

For more information on the recall, call Dale & Thomas customer service at 1-866-940-7936 or Giant/Martin's customer service at 1-888-814-4268.
