Police: Worker Improperly Used Company's Gasoline Card

Authorities say a southern New Jersey man improperly used his employer's gasoline card for a year to make more than $1,200 in unauthorized purchases.

Stafford Township police say 37-year-old township resident Barry Wilbur Jr. faces 22 counts of credit card fraud and 22 counts of theft. He was arrested Sunday and then released pending a court date, and it wasn't known if he has retained an attorney.

The investigation began when the home service company where Wilbur worked notified authorities about the fraudulent use of a company gas card. Authorities say Wilbur had been using the card and made unauthorized purchases which totaled $1,256.89.

A telephone number for Wilbur could not be located Sunday.
