Police Searching for Wig Shop Thieves

Police are trying to identify a woman & child who were caught on camera stealing a purse

Detectives are trying to identify a woman and a boy who allegedly stole a purse containing $300 from a wig store in Wilmington, Del. over the weekend.

The possible mother-son duo struck Downtown Wigs located at 722 N. Market St., police said.

Cops were called to the store Saturday night around 8:35 after receiving a theft complaint. When they arrived they were told by the store owner that his mother’s purse was stolen out of the back of the store, according to authorities.

The owner has a surveillance video of the woman telling the boy to go into the back room and swipe the purse, cops said.

And in an amazing twist, once the women has the stolen cash she can be seen on tape turning back into the store to get her eyebrows done, according to the store owners.

Wilmington Police Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman and child in the above photo. Anyone with information should contact the Detectives at (302) 576-3620 or Detective Tom Curley at (302) 576-3625.
