TV Thief Hits Woman in BJ's Parking Lot: Police

Workers stopped a man from making off with a television from their store, but an innocent woman got hurt when the alleged thief tried to get away.

On July 3, a man was seen walking out of a New Castle BJ’s Wholesale Club with a 26-inch television on his shoulder, according to police.

The suspect was able to get past BJ's employees inside the store, but two workers chased him into the parking lot and managed to grab the television from his vehicle before he could get away, according to police.

In his attempt to escape, the man backed out of his parking spot and hit a 61-year-old woman.

The woman was treated at Christiana Hospital for minor injuries.

The man drove a newer model, white Mazda with out-of-state tags, according to police.
