Philly Woman Missing For a Month

Police are searching for a Philadelphia woman who went missing after heading to Atlantic City

Franchesca Alvarado, 22, left her Philly home on March 13 to play the slots in Atlantic City. She hasn't been seen since.

Alvarado, who friends and family call "Checka," left her Hunting Park home with a male friend and was headed to Resorts Casino. She was last seen by one of her sisters, who is also her roommate.

Family members reported Alvarado missing on March 23, according to police.

She has a tattoo of her daughter's name, Janiah, on her right torso, family members said.

Loved ones started a Facebook page called "Find Franchesca Cheka Alvarado" to help get the word out. They've also been circulating flyers in both Philadelphia and Atlantic City.

Anyone with information on Alvarado is asked to call Northeast Philadelphia Police at 215-685-9836.
