NJ Gas Station Worker Vanishes, Customers Concerned

A well known gas station attendant in Camden County is missing and customers say they're worried about his safety.

The disappearance of a Camden County gas station attendant has rattled a community in Winslow Township.

Sukhvinder Singh, 33, works at the BP on White Horse Pike in the Waterford section of Winslow Township. He was last seen at the gas station around 7:30 Tuesday evening.

NBC10 talked to several customers who say Singh, who they know as Suki, is well known in the area. They say he's very friendly and works seven days a week at the gas station.

"For him not to work, you know something's wrong," customer Doug Sharp told NBC10.

Singh's wife, Amarjit Kaur Grewal, said she last saw her husband on Tuesday morning. She says she spoke to him on the phone at 7 p.m. and he told her he'd be home at ten. But Sukhvinder vanished around 7:30.

Another customer says a friend stopped at the gas station at 9:30 on Tuesday night and couldn't find Singh, so he pumped his own gas. Michael Grisso told NBC10 after his friend finished pumping his gas, he noticed oil cans were knocked over and a cabinet containing cigarettes was open and cigarettes were on the ground. The friend says he saw two employees of a nearby gas station, who said they were looking for Singh and that they hadn't seen him since 7:30 p.m.

Grewal, told NBC10 she has called her husband's cell phone several times since Tuesday, but gets no answer.

She says she moved to the United States with her husband five years ago. They have two children, ages 10 and 14, who live in India.

Singh is 5-foot-7 and weighs 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue turban, blue and red shirt, black pants, black sneakers and a silver bracelet.

Winslow Township Police are investigating. If you have any information about Singh call investigators at 609-561-3300.
