Missing Wilmington Woman Found Safe: Cops

New Castle County Police say a missing 31-year-old Wilmington woman has been found safe.

Police say Stephanie Mcavaney, of the 200 block of Middleboro Road, was reported missing around 8:55 a.m. Sunday by her boyfriend after she became upset and left his home on the 200 block of Rosewood Drive in Newark.

Police issued a Gold Alert because there was a real concern for her welfare due to a medical condition. Investigators say Mcavaney was found safe around 2:45 p.m. and is in good condition.
