Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver in Ambulance Crash

Mullica Township Police are searching for an SUV that caused an ambulance to crash and injure two emergency workers early Sunday morning.

Investigators say shortly before 2 a.m. the ambulance swerved to avoid a black SUV that pulled-out in front of it on Route 30 and Burdick Avenue.

The ambulance went off the road and hit a tree. The driver in the SUV fled the scene.

The ambulance driver was hospitalized after he suffered injuries to his arm and chest. The passenger suffered minor injuries.

There were no passengers on board.
