Cops Seek Driver Who Struck Twin Girls
Girl's condition improves, police search for driver of hit-and-run car

Philadelphia police found the car used in a hit-and-run of 8-year-old twins, one of which was in critical condition Tuesday night. Now, authorities are looking to question the man they believe was the driver.
The 8-year old twin sisters Eryca and Kaitlyn Bradfield were crossing the street near Cheltenham Avenue and Colgate Streets in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia around 3:30 p.m. when they were struck, police said.
"He wasn't paying attention and he hit them," witness Carlos Rodriguez said of the driver. "One went under the car, the other bounced off the fender."
Police located a 2000 Lincoln Town Car that they believe was driven in the hit-and-run after reviewing surveillance video of the street when the accident occurred. Witnesses were able to document the car’s license plate number when the town car initially slowed after the collision and then sped away.
Shawn Timbers, 22, is being saught for questioning by police.
The girls were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children after the accident. Kaitlyn, who was initially listed in critical condition was said to have tire tracks on her clothing, according to police. Her sister Eryca arrived in stable condition.
As of Wednesday afternoon, St. Christopher’s Hospital reported that Kaitlyn is now in “good” condition.
