Drivers Beware: Faux Police SUV Tries to Pull Over Motorist Along Bucks County Road

Police in Bucks County warned motorists to be weary of a possible impostor trying to pull over drivers along a popular route.

A driver alerted Falls Township Police that on Friday around 5 p.m. a sport utility vehicle (possibly a 2004 white Ford Explorer with New Jersey tags) tried to stop the victim’s car along Bristol Pike (U.S. Route 13) at Penn Valley Road.

The SUV appeared to have red and blue lights inside the windows but the suspicious driver didn’t stop, said police.

Falls Township officer checked with surrounding police departments and it appears that the vehicle – that didn’t have and township police markings and wasn’t white and black like Falls Township vehicles – isn’t a valid police car.

Investigators asked that anyone else who might have spotted the faux police SUV to contact Officer Olmeda at 215-949-9100.
