Police Officers Hurt After Crashing Into Parked Van

Two Philadelphia Police officers are in the hospital after an accident in the Parkside section of the city.

Two police officers are in the hospital after witnesses say they crashed into a parked church van. Police have not yet revealed their conditions.

Two police officers are in the hospital after witnesses say they crashed into a parked church van. Police have not yet revealed their conditions.

Two Philadelphia Police officers are in the hospital after an accident in the Parkside section of the city.

It happened shortly after 4 a.m. at 52nd and Warren. Witnesses tell NBC10 they saw a police cruiser traveling at a high rate of speed crash into a parked van. They also say it did not appear the officers were pursuing another vehicle.

The van that was struck belonged to the Greater Bible Way Church. Officials tell NBC10 the 41-year-old and 44-year-old officers hit the windshield.  They were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and don't remember what led to the crash, according to investigators.They were treated for minor injuries.
