Police Officer, Driver Hurt in White Horse Pike Crash

A police officer and another driver are recovering after an accident on the White Horse Pike in Clementon, Camden County.

Officials say a Lindenwold Officer was driving a marked police car on the White Horse Pike around 5:30 p.m. As he prepared to turn left onto Gibbsboro Road, police say another car traveling west on White Horse Pike collided with his vehicle.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash. Both the officer and the driver were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection at White Horse Pike and Gibbsboro was closed for a few hours. It has since been reopened.

Officials are currently investigating the crash.
