Police Impersonator Uses Gun to Rob Victims

Police say the suspect used red and blue lights to pull a car over.

Upper Chichester police are searching for a man who they say impersonated a police officer, pulled a car over and robbed the occupants at gunpoint on Wednesday night.

Police say that a white male, about 6-feet tall, driving a black Ford Crown Victoria with red and blue lights on the dashboard pulled a car over on Larkin Road around 9:20.

He approached the car with a pistol and flashlight and ordered the victims out of the vehicle, said police. He forced the victims to lay on the ground behind the car, went through their pockets and robbed them.

Upper Chichester police believe the suspect may have spooked by passing cars and fled the scene.

Police are asking that anyone with information on the suspect or a similar experience call police at 610-485-8400.
