Police have identified a man found dead in Wissahickon Creek on Saturday.

David Taundi, 33, was last seen leaving his home on the 600 block of Dupont Street on December 14.
Police say Taundi’s vehicle was involved in an accident on the 5200 block of Henry Avenue on December 15 at 4:15 a.m. While police say it was Taundi’s vehicle involved in the crash, they’re not sure if he was driving it at the time of the accident because he wasn’t there when police arrived at the scene.

On Saturday, shortly after 2 p.m., police say Taundi was found lying face down in the Wissahickon Creek on Lincoln Drive and Ridge Avenue in the East Falls section of the city. He was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m.

Police have not yet revealed the cause of death.
