Police Hunt Parolee for Alleged Attempted Abduction

Police say he also tied up and robben a security guard

Philadelphia police are hunting for a parolee who allegedly escaped from his halfway house after tying up a security guard and trying to abduct a fellow resident.

Monday around 2:35 a.m., police responded to the Gaudenzia halfway facility at 1300 West Spring Garden St. for a reported robbery. A female resident told the officers that Roosevelt Glenn, a 61-year-old parolee at the facility, threatened her at knifepoint after waking her up and tried to abduct her. After being forced outside the building, she was able to fight off Glenn and escape, according to the police report.

The responding officers also found a security officer bound. The officer told police that Glenn tied him up and took his personal belongings.

Glenn is 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue sweatpants and a white t-shirt.

Police warn that he is considered armed and dangerous.
