Police: Suspect robbed Rite Aid for narcotics

Police in Newark, Del. are searching for a man who robbed a Rite Aid Pharmacy of some prescription narcotics Saturday night.

Police say that a man entered the store in the Peoples Plaza Shopping Center at around 9:40 p.m. and handed a note to the female employee behind the counter. The note demanded prescription narcotics and implied that the suspect had a gun. The employee complied with the note and gave the suspect an unknown amount of medication before the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect in the case is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years of age who stands between five feet, ten inches and six feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a gray hood, blue jeans, a dark hat, and light-colored gloves.
