Police Hope Video Leads Them to Olney Shooting Suspects

Police released surveillance video Friday of the shooting of a bar owner in Olney last weekend.

They hope it will help them find the suspects.

John Adams had just escorted a female customer from Johnny's Top Cat Club to her car Sunday night when he was confronted by two men and shot, the Daily News reported. Adams was in critical condition Friday.

The video captured the gunman and his accomplice on the sidewalk of 5th Street just north of Ruscomb, as they were standing a couple doors down from the bar, Johnny's Top Cat Club, just before the shooting, which happened about 10:50 p.m.

The two assailants are described as Hispanic men in their 20s. The gunman, about 5-foot-8, was wearing a light-blue shirt and a Phillies baseball cap, and had tattoos on his neck - writing on one side, and pictures of money bags on the other. The cap has been recovered by police.

A friend of Adams told the Daily News the gunman and his accomplice were in the bar prior to the shooting.

The video shows the gunman shooting Adams twice and apparently taking something from his pocket before fleeing.
