Police: Doc Trades Drugs for Sex

On the 3800 block of Brunswick Avenue in Drexel Hill, where Dr. Samuel Krakow lived with is wife and two young children, news of his arrest came as a shock to some…

“I can’t believe he would be like that,” said one neighbor.

And less of a shock to others.

“They have sex with the windows wide open. You can see everything,” neighbor Jackie Brokus said.

34-year-old Dr. Krakow was arrested, not for alleged exhibitionist behavior, but for trading prescription drugs sex, according to police.

Investigators said he even advertised on the popular Internet site, Craig’s list.

It all started with a tip call, detectives said.  They say an undercover officer made contact with Dr. Krakow and that the doctor send lewd text messages to the uncover officer including a cell phone picture of part of his anatomy.

The arrest came near a CVS in Cheltenham. Police said the doctor agreed to deliver Oxycotin in exchange for watching the officer and a female have sex before joining in him self.

But, detectives say, when he turned over the drugs, police joined his wrists with handcuffs.

“They keep to themselves and they are very quiet,” is what another neighbor had to say about the Krakow family.

A for sale sign went up in front of the Krakow’s home a couple of weeks ago, neighbors said.

As for his alleged exhibitionist behavior, neighbors say they didn’t like it….but then again, they never called the police.

“I yelled one time. Close the windows and the just kept doing it,” said Brokus.

The doctor was arraigned and is being held on $25,000 bail. He has turned over his medical license to authorities and his next court date is set for Friday.
