Police Chase Down 3 Alleged Carjackers

Three alleged carjackers are in custody after a wild chase in West Philadelphia.

On Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., investigators say police recognized a vehicle on 52nd and Delancey that was stolen Tuesday night.

Officers began to pursue the car until police say the suspects crashed the vehicle into a police car on 57th and Race. The three men then left the car and tried to flee on foot but were chased down and arrested, according to investigators.

Police say two of the suspects were armed with guns. One officer suffered minor injuries in the incident.
