Police Charge Man, Woman With Pottstown Murder

A man and woman have been charged in a shooting death near Philadelphia last month that authorities said stemmed from a dispute over money.

Thirty-seven-year-old Richard Collins of Philadelphia and 22-year-old Mariah Walton of Pottstown are charged with first- and third-degree murder, conspiracy, burglary and other counts.

They are charged in the homicide of 38-year-old Artie Bradley, who was found shot to death in Pottstown on March 20.

Police and prosecutors said Collins and Bradley had "a falling out of money" in the months before the slaying. Authorities allege they were called to aid in an altercation with Bradley's paramour and the victim was then killed after a confrontation with Collins.

Listed numbers for the defendants couldn't be found Tuesday and court documents don't list attorneys who could offer comment.
