Right Warrant, Wrong Woman in Butt-Implant Case

Narberth mother and 10-year-old “terrified” by police raid

Police executed search warrants on two Main Line apartments Thursday morning, seeking clues in the death of a British woman who died after getting back-room buttocks implants.

But the person of interest was not living at one of the apartments.

A mother and her 10-year-old daughter in Narbeth were terrified when Philadelphia and Narberth police charged through their door just before 8 a.m. Thursday.

"I was irate, hysterical,” the mother, who wants to stay anonymous, told NBC Philadelphia. “Number one they touched my daughter, they had their hands on me, lifted my clothes up. I felt violated in my own home and I had no idea why."

Police were searching for a person of interest, Padge-Victoria Windslowe, also known as “Black Madam,” who witnesses say performed silicone butt enhancements on 20-year-old Claudia Seye Aderotimi hours before the British tourist died Tuesday.

Police successfully searched Windslowe’s Ardmore apartment, removing such items as silicone and Krazy Glue. But the Narberth location police search was a former residence of Winsdlowe, not a current one.

"They did not do their homework,” the Narberth woman said. “I did their homework between last night and today to find out the person they're looking for lived here two years ago. Two years ago."

The woman has filed a complaint with the Philadelphia police department and believes her civil rights were violated.

"She is ten years old, horrified, she’s terrified,” the woman said about her daughter. “I'm really am going to have to get her psychological help."

Philadelphia police said that all public records pointed to that address and that the person of interests' cars were still registered to that address.

Philadelphia police also said they had a legal and proper search warrant and could not comment further.
