Transportation officials shut down all service on PATCO as police officers respond to suspicious package at a station.
Both westbound and eastbound trains were stopped for about 15 minutes beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday after authorities received reports of a suspicious package at the 8th and Market streets station, according to officials.
Authorites reopened the station and allowed normal service to resume around 9:15 a.m. after determining the package was not dangerous.
There may be some residual delays of approximately 10 to 15 minutes on the westbound lines.
