    A head-on crash left eight people, including children, hurt in Atlantic County Tuesday afternoon, police told NBC10’s Ted Greenberg.

    Four ambulances rushed to the scene of the crash at Black Horse Pike (U.S. Route 322) and S Franklin Boulevard shortly after two cars collided around 3:15 p.m.

    In total, eight people were hurt and transported to various area hospitals with undisclosed injuries, police said.

    The scene appeared to be cleared by 4 p.m.
