Pizza Guy Robbed, Dies of Heart Attack

Victim called co-workers, gasping for air

Philadelphia police are investigating the death of a pizza deliveryman who died of a heart attack after being carjacked and robbed in the Logan section of the city.

"He didn't deserve that. He didn't do anything wrong to anybody. All he was doing was working," said Prince Ranier, a co-worker.

The victim, Jaime Orazco, known as "Papi," worked at Ed's Pizza House on Ogontz Avenue. He was out on a delivery when two men carjacked and robbed him at 20th Street and Godfrey Avenue Sunday afternoon, according to investigators.

Orazco managed to call back to the shop. Gasping for air, he told a co-worker what happened. The co-worker called 9-1-1.

"We went to go get him and he was hyperventilating, " said Samuel Adams, who helped Orazco at the scene.

"He couldn't get his breath...so we picked him up and put him on the car and bought him back here...we carried him inside and he just collapsed," said Adams.

Orazco was rushed to Einstein Hospital where he died of a heart attack.

The victim’s car was found in an alley near Stenton and Wyncote Avenue Sunday evening.

One person in custody and police are searching for a second man.

"He was a good old man, very respectful and everybody liked him," said Adams.

The family is raising money to send Orazco's body back to Columbia. To donate to this cause call Accion Columbia at 215-888-9368.
