Guess what? Someone finally recognizes our perfectness! And the reason we're perfect is pretty impressive.
Philadelphia is perfect at supporting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people who live and work in the city of Brotherly Love, according to the Human Rights Campaign's Municipal Equality Index (MEI).
That's right, our great city scored 100 points -- a perfect score -- on the Index's rating system meaning, we support our LGBT community even when state and government fail to do so.
A total of 291 cities from all 50 states were rated on the laws, policies and services of their municipality and its LGBT community.
Philly was one of only 25 cities in the country to receive a perfect score. Others include San Francisco Atlanta and Tampa.
Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Kansas City, Kansas and two cities in Mississippi scored zero.
The HRC's MEI is in its second year. In 2012, they rated 137 cities, this year the number of cities rated more than doubled.
