Douglas Diemidio, 50, is accused of tampering with the electric meter inside his home on S. 12th Street in order to avoid full payment on his utility bills to PECO.

PECO officials say Diemidio’s avoided paying around $10,000 over the course of four years.

Diemidio turned himself in Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with thefts of services.
