Carjacking Suspect Arrested Across State Lines

A man was arrested this morning after allegedly committing a crime that spans two states.

Philadelphia Police spotted a suspicious-looking minivan around 1:30 this morning near Temple University in North Philly. The officers ran the tags and discovered that the van was reported stolen from Camden, N.J.

Police say the officers hit the sirens and the van sped off. Officers gave chase and caught the driver a few blocks later along the 2000 block of N 8th Street. The van was facing the wrong direction on the street when NBC10 cameras arrived.

Police arrested the unidentified driver.

It turns out the van was reported stolen during a carjacking a few days ago.

There were no reports of injuries to the officers or anyone else involved
