Philly-Bound Flight Redirected Due to ‘Maintentance Issue'

An airplane heading to Philadelphia from Brussels turned back Thursday morning due to a "maintenance issue," according to an American Airlines spokesman.

"There was a maintenance issue and the pilot decided to return to Brussels," said Thomas Henderson of American Airlines. "It is likely to be canceled and our customers are going to be reimbursed."

The flight, numbered US751/AWE751, turned back towards Brussels after it reached 100 miles past Galway over the Atlantic Ocean.
