Philadelphia Phillies Extend Radio Broadcast Deal With WIP

The Philadelphia Phillies have extended their broadcast partnership with SportsRadio 94WIP that will begin next season.

A press release did not disclose financial terms or the length of the deal. But Dave Buck, senior vice president of marketing and advertising for the Phillies, described it as a multi-year deal. A source familiar with the situation said the contract will last three years.

This is the first multi-year deal since the last one expired at the end of the 2014 season. Since then, the Phillies and WIP’s parent company CBS Radio negotiated one-year extensions for 2015 and 2016. Buck had said in September 2014 that he hoped to negotiate a long-term deal with CBS before the 2015 season ended.
