Philadelphia Woman Shot In Crossfire While Waiting for Bus

A woman was shot in the hand while waiting for a ride at North Broad Street and Olney Avenue early Friday, apparently caught in the crossfire of two men's gunfire.

The 41-year-old victim walked into nearby Einstein Hospital after being shot one time in the right wrist, police said.

The woman said she had been waiting for a SEPTA bus before deciding to take a taxi, police said. However, before she entered the car, two people started shooting at each other.

The busy intersection led police to multiple witnesses and one who claims they saw the shooting.

Police, however, have no description of the shooter and no motive.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Northwest Detective Division at (215)686-3350.
