Gunman Fatally Shoots Man Inside Philly Home Packed With Kids

Police are searching for the killer who fatally shot a man inside a Philadelphia home that was packed with several people, including four children.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday inside a home in the 1800 block of Fillmore Street in the city’s Frankford section.

According to investigators, the gunman walked up to the front door, opened it and began firing.

A 30-year-old man was struck several times. When officers arrived, they found him on the living room floor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After shooting the victim, the gunman ran out of the home. Investigators say he was captured on surveillance cameras walking up to the home and then leaving.

Chief Inspector Scott Small said 10 people, including four children, were inside the home when the gunman entered.

“Although someone was shot and killed, we’re still fortunate there weren’t other victims struck by gunfire in the house,” Small explained.
