Philadelphians Have a Budget of $727 to Spend This Holiday Season: Report

Although Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, people likely have plenty of more holiday shopping to do throughout the month. But when should Philadelphians say enough is enough and keep their wallet closed?

Credit-card debt is expected to hit more than $60 billion by the end of this year, according to CardHub, so folks may want to keep closer tabs on their spending habits.

Philadelphia came in at No. 377 out of the 563 U.S. cities WalletHub analyzed in its holiday budget report.

With an average monthly income of $3,254, a Philadelphia consumer has a holiday budget of $727, according to WalletHub, a far cry from residents in Palo Alto, Calif., who have a holiday budget of $2,886.

Wilmington, Del., came in at No. 437 with a holiday budget of $641 for consumers, while Camden, N.J., came in at No. 521 with a budget of $440.
