A bicyclist is recovering after he was struck by a car on the Black Horse Pike.

Police say the unidentified man was riding his bike around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Black Horse Pike and Church Street in Gloucester Township.

As he was riding, police say the man swerved in front of a car and was struck by the vehicle.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital and treated for a broken ankle. The driver of the car was not injured. Police also say the driver had the right of way and will not be charged.

A portion of the Black Horse Pike was closed due to the accident. It has since been reopened.
