Pennsylvania College Removes Fliers for White Supremacist Group

Fliers promoting a white supremacist group have been taken down at a central Pennsylvania college.

A spokeswoman for York College tells the York Daily Record numerous posters were removed on Monday. Some students have removed others.

The posters promoting the group "Identity Evropa" include images of Greek thinkers and feature slogans such as "Our future belongs to us" and "Let's become great again."

Identity Evropa describes itself as a group of "awakened Europeans" who oppose those who "defame" their history and "rich cultural heritage."

The college's Office of Student Activities and Orientation must first sign off on fliers before they can be posted on campus.

College President Pamela Gunter-Smith says the college identifies as diverse and doesn't tolerate or condone groups that promote hate or the dehumanization of others.
