Pa. Scout Leader Found Guilty of Sex Abuse

Pennsylvania doctor has been found guilty of sexually abusing a teenager he met while working as a Boy Scout leader in the 1990s.

A western Pennsylvania doctor has been found guilty of sexually abusing a teenager he met while working as a Boy Scout leader in the 1990s.

A judge in Butler County convicted 58-year-old David Evanko on Thursday of statutory rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

Evanko was arrested in 2009 after two brothers, now in their 30s, alleged they were molested as teens. They say Evanko plied them with alcohol and pornography.

Prosecutors later dropped the charges pertaining to one boy.

Evanko has repeatedly denied the accusations. His attorney says he'll appeal after Evanko is sentenced on May 22.

Evanko also faces unrelated charges of inappropriately touching two teenage patients. That case ended in a mistrial in 2010 and is the subject of appeals.
