Man Pleads, Gets Probation in Death at Christmas Tree Farm

A man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of a man who was trying to break up a fight between co-workers at a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania.

Thirty-nine-year-old Pedro Felipe-Nolazco entered the plea Friday in York County Court and was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered to pay $21,300 restitution.

Police say 69-year-old Juan Pozar-Felipe tried to intervene in a Sept. 9 fight between the defendant and his son and died after falling onto a concrete floor. All three were employees of Strathmeyer's Christmas Trees in Warrington Township.

Defense attorney Ken Eckard said his client, whose work visa expires at the end of the month, will return to his family in Mexico immediately and will probably not be granted a visa to return.
