Penn State Students Set Forum on Sex-Abuse Scandal

Tickets to Wednesday's forum are restricted to students with current Penn State ID

Penn State's student government leaders and high-ranking administrators will conduct a town hall forum for students on Wednesday.

Organizers on Monday called the forum a way for students and administrators to discuss the child sex-abuse case for which former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is awaiting trial on 40 criminal counts.

Tickets are restricted to students with a current Penn State ID and the event will be broadcast by the Pennsylvania Cable Network as well as streamed over the Internet.

Rodney Erickson, who was named university president after Graham Spanier was ousted from the position earlier this month, will make introductory remarks. The moderators are sociology lecturers Sam Richards and Laurie Mulvey.

The school also plans three forums for students run by its counseling and psychological services center.
