Penn State Requests to Move Hazing Lawsuit

A Philadelphia judge is set to hear a request by Penn State to move a hazing lawsuit to the central Pennsylvania county where the school is based.

The Centre Daily Times reports the school wants the case moved to Centre County from Philadelphia, where the lawsuit was filed last year.

The change of venue request being heard Wednesday is being challenged by the attorney for whistleblowing former student and fraternity member James Vivenzio.

The Falls Church, Virginia man sued saying he flunked out and had other hazing-related problems.

Vivenzio also blew the whistle on the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity's covert Facebook page, featuring pictures of nude and semi-nude women.

Penn State has suspended the fraternity for three years and the national fraternity expelled 38 Penn State members, saying they violated the fraternity's values.
