Penn State Ex-Officials' Case Moves Along Under Seal

The criminal case against three former Penn State administrators is being conducted under strict court secrecy, and the judge has sealed all filings for the past six months.

That includes an effort by the PA Media Group to force the documents into the open.

Nearly three years after two of the defendants were charged with covering up child sex abuse complaints about former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, there's still no trial date for Graham Spanier, Gary Schultz and Tim Curley.

Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover told The Associated Press in May that he hoped to get the case "on track for later this summer."

This week his office referred questions to a court spokesman, who says he can't comment on the case's timetable or on the sealed filings.
