U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was at Jeff Monday.
U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi came to a Philadelphia hospital Monday to discuss the urgent need for health care reform.
The California Democrat was joined by members of the Philadelphia congressional delegation including Reps. Bob Brady, Chaka Fattah and Allyson Schwartz.
The group toured the emergency wing of the hospital and spoke with doctors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital late Monday morning.
Besides the tour of the hospital the group also discussed issues related to health insurance with a mother of a child who had difficulty getting health insurance for her son who had a pre-existing health condition.
The goal of the entire visit to to highlight the urgent need for health care system reform.
