Man Pinned Between 2 Vehicles After Crash on Broad Street

A man is recovering after he was pinned between two vehicles during an accident early Saturday morning on Broad Street.

A 2011 Mercedes was traveling northbound on the 600 block of North Broad Street at 4:32 a.m. when it struck a 2001 Toyota Camry that was exiting the parking lot of a Dunkin' Donuts. After the crash, the Mercedes continued northbound and struck an unattended 2002 Dodge pickup truck that was parked along the right curb.

The collision caused the pickup truck to strike a 63-year-old man who was standing between the front of the Dodge and a 2002 Chevy Sedan that was also parked on the side. The man was then pinned between both vehicles, officials said.

Rescue crews managed to free the man and he was taken to the Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was treated for two broken legs. He is currently in stable condition.

The driver of the 2001 Camry also suffered chest pain after the crash and was taken to Einstein as well. No one else was injured.

Police continue to investigate the accident. No arrests have been made.
