Arrest Warrants in Parking Lot Attendant Brick Attack

Police issue arrest warrants for duo wanted in connection to Center City brick attack.

More than two weeks after a Center City parking lot attendant was beaten unconscious with a brick arrest warrants were issued for the duo suspected in his beating.

On Friday Philadelphia Police released photos of Ronald Moore, 37, of the 6300 block of Reedland Street and Tamika Wilkins 36, of the 550 block of Catherine Street in connection to the brick attack on Asrat Mulugeta.

Mulugeta, 30, was assaulted April 4 around 7:45 p.m. as he worked at the E-Z Parking lot at 1309 Locust Street.

A man and woman approached Mulugeta and knocked him unconscious with a brick, police said.

Mulugeta was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He was released a few days later.

Police released surveillance video showing people talking to Mulugeta before the attack. A woman appeared to spend several minutes inside his booth. The man then attacked Mulugeta with a single blow to the head, according to police.

Investigators have yet to give a motive for the attack. Initially, witnesses said Mulugeta was robbed, but police say he still had a good amount of cash and his cell phone in his pocket when he was rushed to the hospital.

E-Z Parking is offering a $10K reward, being administered by the Citizens Crime Commission

Anyone with information that could help police track down Moore and/or Wilkins should call police at 215-686-8477 or the Central Detectives at 215-686-3093/3094.
