A paralyzed seal found in Atlantic County will be getting a new home.

The gray seal was found stranded back in March at a beach in Longport, New Jersey. Officials say its rear flippers were paralyzed. The animal was taken to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, New Jersey.

Officials say the seal will be flown Wednesday morning to a zoo in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He’ll live in a 350,000 gallon exhibit with another gray seal, a harbor seal and sea lions.
